What're everyone's favorite discs?I've always wondered if other people, like I do, have favorite discs.
Mainly, what I want to know is:
1) What is everyone's favorite disc from each Season?
2) What is everyone's favorite disc overall?
3) What is everyone's favorite disc for commentaries?
For me:
1) Volume 1: Disc 2
Volume 2: Disc 3
Volume 3: Disc 2
Volume 4: Disc 4
2) Volume 2, Disc 3
3) Volume 2, Disc 3
For me, Volume 2, Disc 3 is just great all around. How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back and The Deep South are my two favorite episodes and the commentaries are so funny, especially the Deep South.
The other three episodes rank in my top 15 episodes and the commentaries are equal parts funny and informative. Well, mayble slightly more funny.
So what're yours? Volume 3 Disc 1 is one of my favorites, both for episodes and commentaries, and Volume 4, Disc 4 has great commentaries and episodes as well. It also features Dan Castelleneta (I can never spell his name correctly) on commentary, which is great as well...
But 2, 3 is still my favorite. Um... Wahoo!

cant say about which is my favorite disk at the mo...will have to watch the whole series again and take note!!!
But "how hermes Requisitioned his grove back" is one of my favourites!!!
and the commentaries are very funny!!

just consulted my box set(season 2) and my fave disk must be disc four........except "the cryonic women" all are brilliant!!!! "war is the h word" is class

I mean, come on people...Space Pilot, Series Has Landed, I Roomate...classic and never better
Ecspecially in episode one when fry comes out of the cryo-tube and the whole window is the city of the year 3000...that animation shot with the slow tempo tubular bells hooked me for good on the show!!!

Has it ever dawned on you that the whole of the rest of the world was destroyed...Yet the 'applied cryogenics' building Fry was in survived???
But i agree...Disk one Vol.1 Is excellent!!

Yes that occurred to me.....had the same idea about the original "The Time Machine"
( cool movie btw...better than the re-make )

Is that the one where the time machine is a chair? I remember wtaching it as a kid..Was a great film!!

YUP.....they re-made it a few years back. The time machine 'chair' is very cool in the new one but the original is WAY better in my opinion.....and since I'm never wrong....it's better

I dont have a favorite disc....I do have a favorite disc though.....Its season 3 disc 1....or not...iT MIGHT be...Or it might not be...

I'm with you, lickthestar! Volume 2, Disc 3 is definitely the best! I can't get enough of "How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back", and the other episodes on the disc are top notch too! (The Deep South, Bender Gets Made, Mother's Day & The Problem With Popplers)

The only DVD set I have is Volume 4. I think the best disc is the fourth, it has a couple of my favorite episodes on it.

I now own Vols. 2, 3, and 4. My favorite disc is Vol. 3, disc 1, the one with 'Amazon Women in the Mood,' the very first episode of Futurama I ever saw!
