Who watched Futurama back in 1999 when it first aired? What did you think of it back then. I didn't watch it back then. I didn't even know it existed until about 1-2 years later since I didn't watch FOX much back then. I actually started watching it on Adult Swim around last year.

Well can someone answer this question? Was Nibbler's shadow in the pilot when it first aired or was it added in later on? My cousins say it was added in but I think it was always there.

I wish I'd had a better sense of humor when Futurama first aired, I'd have started watching it then instead of catching the reruns on Adult Swim after it got cancelled.

Im a major anime fan...i love most manga and Japanese anime......The more robots and cute girls kicking ass the better!!!!

As to the OP question...I didn't see futurama when it was first aired..But i have heard various rumours that the shadow of nibbler was added..But they must have had some idea the way the story of the show was going to go, so i think it would have been there all along...People just didn't notice it till they re-watched it.

I think it was there from the beginning because on the animatic of The Space Pilot 3000 Nibbler's shadow was there. But in Jurassic Bark I saw two shadows and Nibbler's eye was sticking out of the garbage. So was there two Nibbler's shadows in that episode? There were two shadows in The Why of Fry too but it was Nibbler and Fry's shadows.

I'm always watching old Silly Symphonies, Yogi, Jetsons,Flinstones,Jonny Quest,Dr. Katz,Spiderman (67 and new ),Justice League, Batman Beyond,Mickey Mouse B/W,Goofy,Donald,Teen Titans,Betty Boop,Popeye,Felix the Cat,Top Cat,Aeon Flux,Reighn,Huckleberry Hound,Winky Dink,Clutch Cargo,Pluto,Superman(1940s),Rocky and Bullwinkle,Underdog.......and a few more, but I don't think I watch TOO many cartoons.......I'm not a freak or anything!!!

God, I miss Silly Symphonies. And I used to watch the old Popeye cartoons all the dang time. And Powerpuff Girls. And Dexter's Laboratory. And Ed, Edd n' Eddy. And about half the cartoons you listed there.

Yea.....I have ALL the Silly Symphonies on dvd...they are available on the Disney treasure sets....the ones that come in a tin box. There are two volumes and they are GREAT!! I have all the Treasures series except for 2.......some day....mmmm

I also watch Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo,Woody Woodpecker,Full Metal Alchemist......and I hate Scooby Doo!! Bleccch!

I noticed that Bender and the professor's voices changed a lot after the first season. Fry even sounded a little different in the pilot. I like their voices now a little better.

I also noticed that there were two shaodws in The Why of Fry but of course that was Fry and Nibbler's shadows. Maybe the Nibblonian that had his eye poking out of the garbage in JB was a different Nibblonian than the one under the table. So there were two Nibblers there.

Here's what I said before. There had to of been two Nibblonians in Jurrasic Bark: the one that pushed Fry into the machine and the one that had it's eye poking out of the garbage. That would explain why there were two shadows. Or maybe I'm just seeing things. I'm too lazy to watch the episode now so I'll do it later.

You are so wrong it is untrue...Although.... futurama is alot more intellectual than the simpsons..So i guess it can go straight over peoples heads...

Plus...how can you judge a show by one episode...If i judged the simpsons on one of the first seasons episodes....I would disregard it as trash...Why join a futurama forum if you think it is rubbish anyway>???..Maybe to

I totally agree, you can't really judge anything on one episode. That's just stupid. That means you expect the writers to do perfect episodes ALL the time, and that just doesn't happen really.
