I said Leela because out of those choices, she's the only one who wouldn't get us all killed. Plus apparently, BD voted for Leela without saying so!!

I'm confused now. He did get frozen on New Years. It was 1999 before he got frozen and it was 2000 when he fell into the freezer right? So wouldn't he in the year 2000 if he went back or in 1999 going on 2000?

Well what happened was he got frozen as the counter reached 0. But when he woke up, there was another 10 second count down to the year 3000. Hence, not a 1000 year freeze!!

Yeah I knew that the new millennium started in 2001, seeing there was no year "0 AD". But in general most people think as the millennium as 2000 AD.
